Abstract: This study address a scheduling problem of Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) delivery by using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO).This problem can be modeled as a single objective optimization problem where we need a solution which can be minimize the time and distance of total travelling from ready mixed concrete plant to construction site. The Scheduling of dispatching Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) through transit Mixers (TM) is a very critical issue for construction and RMC industry. Constrains in delivering RMC are limited time period, availability of limited numbers of transit mixers, uncertainty of concrete requirement and day by day increment in road traffic. In this dissertation study we proposed a systematic approach for scheduling RMC delivery which includes mathematical modelling and a solution dispatching problem using mat lab software.
